Piano, Trumpet, Beginner Brass
Alex Parchment was raised in New Jersey, and started playing trumpet in 6th grade. He was fortunate to attend Rosa Parks high school of the fine and performing arts in Paterson, NJ, where his band director introduced him to jazz and put him in situations to grow as a musician like the program Jazz
House Kids. At age 15, Alex started performing professionally and was afforded the opportunity to attend the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program in the spring of 2015 at the Kennedy Center. Currently, Alex is completing his pursuit of a Music Education degree at Howard University. He has performed
with Patty Austin, Christian McBride, Chic Corea and currently leads two bands and plays locally with the Twins Jazz Orchestra.
Alex teaches Piano, Trumpet, and beginner brass for Trumpet, Piano, Trombone, Flugel Horn, French Horn, Baritone, Euphonium, and Tuba.
