Avid and enthralled with the arts of music, Dan Ariel has lived and breathed music pedagogy for two decades of formal training and performance. Dan completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Boston College, majoring in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance. Continuing their pursuit of music, Dan completed a second degree in Music: Master of Arts in Music: Ethnomusicology at Tufts University. Throughout, Dan performed often, led chamber ensembles, directed opera scenes, instructed undergraduate lectures as a teaching assistant, and taught private lessons. After graduating in 2015 with their MA, Dan has worked as a professional instructor for voice, saxophone, recorder/ocarina, piano, and world music. Attentive and eager to fit each student’s unique learning needs, Dan can best be described as optimistic, tireless, personable, and always ready to teach new students of any age, experience, or ability.
