Flute and Piano
Michele Walton holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Flute Performance from the Catholic University of America and a Master of Music degree from the Greatbatch School of Music, Houghton College. She performs regularly around the DC Metropolitan Area as a substitute musician with the Avanti Symphony Orchestra, Maryland Symphony Orchestra, and Symphony of the Potomac. Ms. Walton works as a freelance musician and teacher. Her primary teachers include Alice Weinreb and Rebecca Gilbert and has performed in masterclasses with Demarre McGill and Conor Nelsen.
As a private teacher, she teaches private Flute and Piano (ages 5+). Her students come to her with a range of previous musical experience from beginner to advanced. Lessons can be in either English or Spanish.
In addition to music, she also teaches English and Spanish as a second language and enjoys visiting Spain and other parts of the world in her free time.
