Piano

Karine has been the 1st prize winner of two national piano competitions in Beirut, Lebanon; the Liszt and Ravel National Piano Competition and Spanish Music Competition. She has been the recipient of many awards and scholarships, among which, a full scholarship awarded by the Spanish Consulate of Lebanon for a summer study at the International Piano Festival of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain.

She has performed extensively in Lebanon, with many TV/Radio appearances, including from the evening news of the national TV station. She has also performed at Concordia University in Montreal, QC; Steinway Hall, Paul Hall at Juilliard School of Music and the Concert Hall at Mannes School of Music in NY; Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ; Weigel Hall at OSU and Strathmore Hall in Rockville, MD, as a soloist and collaborative artist. She has a live recording of piano solo works by Haydn, Brahms, Chopin and Debussy, available by special order.

Karine is also a dedicated and award winning piano teacher. Her students have been top prize winners of international competitions in NY, with performances at Carnegie Hall and other prestigious venues. More information and live recordings can be found at: www.karinekoroukian.com.
