Ronald Art Walton III, a humble musician based in the Washington DC metropolitan area, is known for his diverse talents in music composition and performance. With a background as a sought-after composer, arranger, organist, pianist, and conductor, Ronald’s works have resonated both in the United States and abroad.
Despite his impressive achievements, Ronald remains grounded in his roles as a dedicated piano and organ instructor at the National Conservatory of Arts in Washington DC and as the current organist at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, a historic institution in the heart of the city.
Ronald’s passion for music extends beyond his personal pursuits as he serves as the Director of the CAAPA Jazz Ensemble and as the Conductor of the Zion Chamber Orchestra. His commitment to nurturing young talent is evident through his roles as the President of the BLEU Opera Foundation and the founder of the BLEU Opera Company, providing invaluable support to promising students in their musical education.
Throughout his career, Ronald has collaborated with esteemed musicians and organizations, such as the Alliance for New Music Theater, where he served as a composer in residence. His critically acclaimed opera, created in partnership with baritone Jarrod Lee, showcases his ability to captivate audiences with his evocative compositions.
A graduate of Duke Ellington School of The Arts and the University of the District of Columbia, Ronald has honed his craft under the guidance of renowned music educators, reflecting his continuous dedication to his musical journey.
